Hearts First Bike Ride London 2 Paris 2008
Five Mustangers took part in the British Heart Foundation’s seventh annual London to Paris bike ride in September. Steven Coxon, Mick Barker, Rob Cochrane, Tim Ventre, and Mike Dove (Driver) took part with over 100 riders in a grueling challenge covering over 250 miles in just three days!
The course trekked through stunning scenery, though it was not short on challenges such as, hilly terrain, wet and windy weather, and numerous tire punctures – the record was four within a quarter mile!
This could not hamper the spirits of our Mustang riders, who pedaled home on the last day in glorious sunshine with the Palace of Versailles in the background. All of the training and sore legs were well worth the effort, as the team raised £2,500 and were welcomed home with a champagne toast by Mustangers.
Great job Mustangers, and good luck next year!
