Wood Group Mustang has been recognized by Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine as #18 in its annual list of The 2013 Top 500 Design Firms, placing Wood Group Mustang in the top 5% of engineering and construction services firms active in the United States. ENR ranks the largest U.S.-based architectural and engineering firms by revenue earned in 2012.

Wood Group Mustang is ranked #80 in the National Top 150 Workplaces by research firm Workplace Dynamics. The firm surveys employees to compile rankings for 30 U.S. newspapers, including the Houston Chronicle, where Wood Group Mustang was recently ranked #9 in Houston’s Top Workplaces for large companies employing over 500. Workplace Dynamics surveyed more than 1 million employees from 872 large companies in order to generate their national rankings. The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee opinions in areas such as career opportunities, compensation, training, company leadership, values and ethics.

Wood Group Mustang ranked #9 in the large company category on the list of the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces in 2012. Wood Group Mustang was the only engineering and construction services company named to the large company list.
In June, Houston-area Mustangers participated in the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces survey. The survey was designed to identify the top workplaces based on the opinions of employees in six categories – Direction, Execution, Career, Conditions, Managers, and Pay and Benefits. Eighty-one percent of Houston-area Mustangers completed the survey.
|2012 System Integrator Giants|
Wood Group Mustang’s automation business unit was ranked #1 by Control Engineering magazine in their inaugural list of 100 System Integrator Giants. Companies were ranked by 2011 system integration-related revenue. Responding companies also provided details about size, engineering specialties, professional affiliations, products they use, industries and areas they serve, educational opportunities offered to employees, and challenges they face.
|Perdido Project Receives Distinguished Achievement Award at 2012 OTC|
The Perdido SPAR project is the deepest (7,817 ft) oil and gas drilling and production platform in the world. This world-class project in the Gulf of Mexico pioneered several technological firsts in ultra-deepwater development and production, and has achieved an exemplary safety record. Alliance Engineering, a Wood Group Mustang company, handled conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering and design, procurement and fabrication support for the topsides.
|Wood Group Mustang Green Team Recognized in Green Office Challenge|
The Wood Group Mustang Green Team participated in the 2012 Houston Green Office Challenge and were recognized by Mayor Annise Parker with two awards - Best Baseline Energy Star Score and Overall Winner with the Highest Participation of both Tenants and Building Management. Four of the six Wood Group Mustang properties earned ENERGY STAR certification during the challenge.
|Global Performance Receives Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award|
Global Performance, a Wood Group Mustang company received a 2011 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Global Performance maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2010 to Sept. 30, 2011.
Global Performance provides project and construction management services for Boeing’s new 787 aircraft Final Assembly Building, Delivery Center, Interiors Responsibility Center and several other site facilities in North Charleston, S.C.

Mustang ranked #5 in the large company category on the list of the Houston Chronicle’s Top Workplaces in 2010. Mustang also received a special award in the area of Employee Appreciation as the highest ranking company in this category.

Each year, TAPE recognizes exemplary partners and partnership programs across the state. Winners represent volunteers, organizations, government agencies, businesses, and school districts, whose commitment to education partnerships have made a positive impact on the youth in their community.
Cy-Fair/Watkins nominated Mustang for this prestigious award. Mustang has partnered with Watkins Middle School since 2007 in the business partnership. Along with a monetary donation each year, Mustangers have made an impact on various levels, including the annual school supply drive, donating baked goods for the teachers lounge, and mentoring students once a week.
|Mustang - Receives School District and State Business Partnership Awards for its Work with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD|
Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School honored Mustang with the District Award for Business Partnership – Academic Impact for 2009/2010, for its work partnering with Watkins Middle School.
After receiving the district award, Mustang Engineering was nominated for the Business Partnership – Career Education award with the Texas Association of Partners in Education.

Control Engineering magazine named Mustang‘s Automation and Control Business Unit System Integrator of the Year for 2010 in the “More than $50 Million Annual Revenue” category. Mustang has been named a finalist for the past two years.
Participating system integration firms from around the world were divided into three annual revenue categories and judged by industry leaders on achievements in the areas of technical expertise, business skills, and customer satisfaction.

This is the third consecutive year that Mustang has received these awards. They are based on a series of self-audits, random desk-audits and supporting documentation, which are assessed to determine the organization’s commitment to safety through excellence in training, established systems and procedures and achievement of safety objectives.
Held on an annual basis since its initial introduction in 1979, the Safe Way Awards Scheme is designed to encourage all industrial and commercial enterprises in Western Australia, large and small, to improve their safety and health performance.

|Mustang’s Global Performance is One of South Carolina’s Best Places to Work!|
Global Performance ranked #14 on the Best Places to Work in South Carolina among small/medium size companies. The award was announced in October at the awards dinner in Columbia, SC. The Best Places to Work in South Carolina list is organized by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, the South Carolina Society for Human Resource Management, and the publishers of SC BIZ Magazine. These organizations are dedicated to identifying and recognizing South Carolina’s most innovative and top-notch employers. The award, focused on eight core areas, was based on a confidential 65-question employee survey.
|Global Performance Receives CMAA Project Achievement Award|
Mustang/Global Performance was awarded the 2008 CMAA (Construction Management Association of America) Project Achievement Award at the CMAA’s National Conference awards dinner in San Francisco. Global Performance was announced the winner in the category of Program Management/Project Phase, Buildings. Global received the award for the Greenville County Public Schools Capital Construction Program.

Mustang was ranked #4 on The Houston Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” list in 2008 for businesses with more than 500 employees. Mustang is one of only 11 companies chosen to receive the honor in their category and is also the only project management and engineering company to be named to the list!
Mustang was presented with the 2008 Star Award from the Houston West Chamber of Commerce on Friday, February 29th. The presentation took place during the Houston West Chamber’s sold out Economic Development and Star Awards luncheon at the Omni Houston’s Westside hotel. Mustang was honored in the existing business category with 150+ employees. Texas Secretary of State Phil Wilson presented the award to Don Leinweber, Mustang General Manager during the 10th annual event which was attended by over 600 civic and business leaders.
The Star Awards recognize outstanding businesses who have contributed to the West Houston community both in economic development and social responsibility. Mustang was one of 140 nominees this year. Thank you, Mustangers, for all you do to make Mustang a shining light in the community!

|Mustang Makes Aggie 100 List|
For the third year in a row, Mustang was selected to the Aggie 100 list! On November 21st, Mustang received this honor at the awards luncheon held on the Texas A&M campus. This award was created and presented by the Mays Business School's Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship (CNVE) at Texas A&M University. Companies are nominated for being Aggie-owned or managed, with the CEO, president or other chief executive being a former student. The finalists, chosen from more than 700 companies, have to be in business for five years, have annual revenues exceeding $100,000, and are ranked according to their percentage of revenue growth. |Redmon Named A Conn Entrepreneurial Leader|
Paul Redmon, co-founder of Mustang, was named the 2006 winner of the Conn Family Entrepreneurial Leadership Award, which is presented by Texas A&M University’s Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship (CNVE). Redmon is the sixth recipient of the award that is given annually by the CNVE. As part of the award activities, Paul told the Mustang story to almost 400 hundred business students on campus during April, as well as at a dinner in his honor at which the award was presented to him by Texas A&M officials.

The Conn Family Entrepreneurial Leadership Award, established in 2000, is named after the former president and chair of Conn Appliances, Inc. Carroll, Jr. and Dorothy Conn have made lasting contributions in the business and civic worlds, including support for the Conn Award through an endowment. The award honors those entrepreneurs who have the courage and the vision to launch companies that make a lasting impact on their communities and among their employees. Past winners include L. Lowry Mays of Clear Channel Communications, Erle Nye of TXU, Pizza Hut co-founder Frank L. Carney, Administaff co-founder Paul J. Sarvadi and Jason’s Deli founder Joe Tortorice.
|Higgs Receives Distinguished Eagle Scout Award|
Mustang co-founder Bill Higgs received the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award from The Boy Scouts of America in March 2005. The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, established in 1969, is reserved for a recipient that attained the rank of Eagle Scout at least 25 years prior to his nomination and, since then, has rendered outstanding service to others. The prestigious award’s select recipients include 38th U.S. President Gerald R. Ford; former astronaut Neil Armstrong; U. S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld; film director Steven Spielberg; EDS founder H. Ross Perot and others. Bill is an Eagle Scout with bronze, gold and silver palms and is a Silver Beaver recipient for his work with the youth in the Sam Houston Council. For the third consecutive year MUSTANG was selected as a finalist for the industry's Offshore Energy Achievement Awards, this year in three categories: Emerging Innovation/Technology, Contribution to Community and Industry Champion. The awards ceremony was held on January 25, 2007 at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The goal of the Offshore Energy Achievement Awards is to honor outstanding achievements in various areas of the upstream, offshore oil & gas industry.
|Mustang Receives OTC Spotlight on New Technology Award for its LNG Smart® Vaporization Process|
The process is used to economically regasify liquefied natural gas (LNG). The second annual awards, presented at the Offshore Technology Conference on May 2 in Houston, were conferred to 14 recipients who demonstrated forward-thinking and significant offshore developments during the past year. Scott Worthington, manager of Mustang's Midstream sector, received the award on behalf of Mustang and stated, "The LNG Smart Vaporization process is a unique solution for improving the commercial viability of LNG receiving terminals, both onshore and offshore, to help satisfy the global demand for clean natural gas."Read the full story...

Mustang was selected as a finalist for the New Horizons Idea Award at the 2004 World Oil® Awards for its LNG Smart™ Regasification Process. "The World Oil Awards recognizes outstanding achievements and fosters new innovations in the oil and gas industry," explained John "Rusty" Meador, President/CEO of Gulf Publishing Company. "The caliber and geographic diversity of the nominations received this year is very encouraging." The eleven award categories spanned virtually all aspects of the upstream industry, ranging from Best Data Management to Best Cross Border Transaction Award.
