Wood Group Mustang Norway AS (WGMN) is an EPCIC company focused on the oil and gas industry, with four business areas as summarized below.

The Maintenance & Modifications business area focuses on modification projects on offshore installations, primarily on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The Company has extensive project execution experience within areas such as subsea tiebacks, topside process modification, pre compression and electro, instruments, control systems and telecom. WGMN is one of only seven companies pre-qualified for modification projects for Statoil on the NCS.

Greenfield Topsides is active within major field development projects on the NCS. Historically, the business area has also undertaken EPC responsibility on topside modules for FPSOs operating worldwide. The Company’s work spans from complete topside modules, where WGMN takes full responsibility for the project, to integrated projects where WGMN works together with clients and partners. Greenfield Topsides also performs hook-up and commissioning services, and recently completed hook-up and commissioning of the Valemon platform on the NCS together with Statoil and Samsung Heavy Industries.

Concepts and Technology focuses primarily on feasibility studies, concepts, early-phase design, FEED studies and engineering services within greenfield and brownfield projects for the Norwegian offshore market. In addition to early-phase design and engineering, Concepts and Technology provides specialist studies, technology assessments and third-party verifications.

Floaters carries out upgrades and conversions on FPSOs, FSOs and semi-submersibles, as well as executing projects within the design and engineering of new drillships and semi-submersibles. WGMN is also a leading supplier of burner booms for drilling rigs and drillships.

WGMN has five offices in Norway, including its headquarters in Sandefjord, and has had an engineering office in Shanghai since 2008. The Company employs approximately 650 people, including more than 500 multi-discipline engineers covering the whole value chain, from feasibility studies to hook-up and commissioning.
