Mustang has extensive experience implementing Wood Group’s patented processes for liquefying natural gas under the LNG Smart® line of LNG technologies. These innovations use industry-proven components, reduce power requirements to increase LNG production efficiency, simplify field operation start-up and shutdown, and provide flexibility to respond to field production fluctuations.

The Wood Group NDX (Nitrogen Dual Expander) liquefaction process is well-suited for offshore and onshore use. Its all-gas nitrogen refrigerant is non-flammable and not affected by vessel motion. The equipment configuration is extremely simple, allowing for design as a compact marinized module utilizing industry-proven equipment. Its modular design reduces construction cost and schedule significantly. These liquefaction processes are summarized below:
