Before I came to work for Mustang, I was working a temporary job as a project secretary seeking permanent employment. I already knew several people working for Mustang and I had heard many good things about the company and its success in the oil and gas industry. I decided I wanted to be part of that (and the location was good for me as well). I interviewed in May of 1995 for a secretarial position. The more information I learned about Mustang, the more I wanted to be part of its family. Unfortunately, I didn't get hired for the particular job I interviewed for. Every day as I traveled back and forth to my temporary position, I would pass the Mustang Building on I-10 and wish that I was working there. It only took a couple more weeks for another secretarial position to open up and I got a call to interview with the Purchasing Manager. I was so excited when I was hired. I recall jumping up and down and kicking up my heels. Throughout the years that I have been at Mustang, I have seen many changes—more employees, more cars, more buildings, more projects, etc. But one thing hasn't changed—the Mustang culture. Mustangers care about each other. Mustangers are treated with respect. Management really does care about your concerns and takes them to heart. If you want to get to know more of your fellow employees, I encourage you to participate in some of Mustang’s FUNctions. I promise you will meet some great people! I know I have.
